VLOG Episode 17: How Being a Candidate Affects Mental Health

We’re expecting an election to be called any day now. It’s already been a whirlwind and we’re just getting started. When I started this journey one of my main goals was to give you a full and transparent view of what it’s like being a candidate – the good and the bad.

Today I talk a little bit about the bad.

In this vlog I talk about mental health, the stress from media reports of infighting in the Green Party, handling negative social media, and the nagging feeling of guilt that I could always be doing more. This is one of the more raw vlogs but I hope it sheds light on the mental health stressors of being a political candidate.

Our campaign is funded by grassroots supporters like you who chip in what they can, when they can.

We need your help to make bold change. Work with us to build a better Canada.
