Phil was just published in Science as co-author on, “CO2 electroreduction to ethylene via hydroxide-mediated copper catalysis at an abrupt interface”. In this work, a flow-cell architecture was utilized with highly alkaline electrolyte to convert CO2 into ethylene, a major precursor to consumer plastics. Phil performed the XAS experiments, edited the manuscript, and advised on the computational simulations.
