Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, our campaign has raised more than $40,000 in donations to date—exceeding fundraising goals and empowering team Phil De Luna to run a competitive campaign.
But the reality is, we’re in an election that a majority of Canadians did not want, in the middle of a global pandemic, surrounded by wildfires, and now we’re finding out that the country is unable to adequately respond to the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
The situation in Afghanistan demands Canada’s full attention: there are thousands of Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and Afghan allies who helped Canada’s mission but are now being left behind. The government has committed to resettling 20,000 vulnerable Afghans due to the rapid Taliban takeover, but only 3,700 have been evacuated. Resettlement will require resources, sponsorships, and donations. Canada has a responsibility to our allies and those who were left behind.
How can you help?
