Phil recently gave a talk at the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) Bio-inspired Solar Energy Meeting in Toronto, ON, Canada. He also served as the meeting recorder. This meeting is part of the larger CIFAR program which is focused on understanding how biology harvests light and turns it into usable fuel in hopes of recreating artificial analogues to accomplish the same thing.
CIFAR is an institute of advanced study that creates and maintains global research networks working on complex areas of inquiry. It is supported by individuals, foundations and corporations, as well as funding from the Government of Canada and the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.
